I read this quote this morning and the thought occurred to me that it was Christ’s intention, that the Church, would take up that same mantle and become Love and Good News in the Flesh. Wow, have we messed that up! But there is still time to change and become Christ in the Flesh……
It is easy to point to the letter of the law or a text and then judge everyone who doesn’t line up with our interpretation, but have you ever noticed, Christ never did that. He always seemed to be and offer Good News!
Lord,
Help us to be more loving and the source of Good News. May our very presence bring about your presence and Love in the Lives of all we meet.
