Disqualified?

My life has gone through some monumental changes in the past 11 years. This has brought judgments and a verdict of being disqualified. I have lived far too long, thinking I could never fulfill my calling because of these judgements and opinions.

There will always be people with opinions and judgment about things they do not know much about. However, what I am talking about today, is my own judgments and mindset. This week, in prayer I was giving God the list of all the reason, I was “disqualified” for ministry and calling. Now I know, I have been called to ministry. I also so that the Callings of God are never terminated. I also have endeavored to do what I can where I can, in terms of ministry. However, I had this underlying belief (and yes it was an under-LYING! belief) that I was unqualified because of the “crosses” I carried and would never be accepted in ministry.

This week during this prayer (list of why I cannot) I felt as if God’s spirit gentle spoke to me that the very reasons that i felt disqualified me, where the very reasons I was qualified. God doesn’t use perfect people, God uses willing people. I guess it was God’s way of saying to me, “Son, I am tired of hearing your excuses”. “I have qualified you, now stop letting the opinions, judgments of yourself and others nullify my Purpose for your life. To which, I now respond, OK.

In 2016, I wonder if you have things that you think disqualify you from the life and purpose God has for you. There are many reason, why we settle for less than. But there is one reason, we can reach for the unreachable. Our doubts, fears, worries, and insecurities have all been overruled! The fears, judgments and prejudices of others who would judge us, are overruled! God says, “I have a plan for you, a plan that is for your best and it is better than anything you could imagine. This plan is based on my love for you and if you let me, I will bring it to pass in your life.”

Let 2016 be the year we get in sync and in the flow of this plan. May you see the hand of God working in your life, transforming it this new year.

Peace!
